Pembrey Burrows and Saltings

During Wales Biodiversity Week this June (6-13 June) a marine Biodiversity day is being organised, based at the yacht club at Burry Port.

The day aims to celebrate of our coastal/marine habitats and species and raise awareness about the importance of the marine environment, its protected status, explain how local people/boat users/anglers can help with conservation and encourage people to report any wildlife they see.

There will be a guided walk along the beach and dunes, displays and activities in the Yacht Club and activities for children on the beach.

During the previous week a marine workshop will be held with a local school and a beach clean will take place to highlight the issue of litter on beaches and the harm it can do wildlife.
