AROLWG O DDRAENOGOD/HEDGEHOG SURVEY

Rhoddwyd sylw’n ddiweddar i’r ffaith fod y draenog tra hoff (Erinaceus europaeus) yn famal o bwys i’n hamgylchedd naturiol yng Nghymru. Awgryma hanesion bod eu niferoedd yn gwanhau ond prin yw’r cofnodion swyddogol. Mae angen eich help chi arnom ni i wybod lle gellir eu canfod yn Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Mae colli cynefin yn fygythiad i’r draenogod ond gallant oroesi’n dda mewn gerddi ac ardaloedd trefol. Ewch i www.wildaboutgardens.org.uk i weld sut y gallwch chi helpu’r draenogod yn eich gardd.

The much-loved hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) has recently been highlighted as  a mammal that is of importance to our natural environment  in Wales. Anecdotal evidence suggests they are declining, but official records are poor. We need your help to discover where in Carmarthenshire they can be found.
Hedgehogs are threatened by habitat loss but can survive well in gardens and urban areas. Visit www.wildaboutgardens.org.uk to see how you can help hedgehogs in your garden.
